Award-winning blues takes the stage at The Painted Table Events Center for one night only, March 21st! Rick Estrin’s gritty vocals and sly blues harmonica will fill our theatre, along with his groovin’ band, the Nightcats (featuring Kid Andersen on guitar and background vocals, Lorenzo Farrell on piano and organ, and Derrick “D’Mar” Martin on drums—All virtuosos in their own rights).
San Francisco native Rick Estrin is no stranger to the blues scene. At the age of 15, he started playing harmonica and by 18 was sitting in and jamming with great R&B and blues masters in black clubs throughout The City. His decades of experience includes collaborating with guitarist Charlie Baty, who formed the “Little Charlie and the Nightcats” band. When Charlie retired in 2008, Rick took over the band, electrified it with new bandmates, created “Rick Estrin & The Nightcats”, and took it to new heights. The kudos came in, and Rick and his band took home honors from BMA that include honors of the coveted Band of the Year, Traditional Blues Male Artist of the Year, and Song of the Year awards.
The iconic blues legend Muddy Waters dubbed Rick Estrin’s playing “outta sight!” Discover the blues magic of Rick Estrin & The Nightcats for yourself.
