Imagine being immersed in the music of the late 50s and 60s all over again, when The Kingston Trio happened onto San Francisco’s North Beach scene to electrify the country with their rich traditional folk music sound. Some 58 years after “Tom Dooley” rose up the music charts, the Trio is still going strong. And now, they’re bringing their harmonies to the intimate Painted Table Event Center stage for a special concert, one night only, in a benefit concert for the Central Valley Honor Flight. On Thursday, March 2nd, at 6:30 pm, take a trip back down memory lane with the Kingston Trio AND enjoy a sumptuous prix fixe dinner curated by the award-winning Painted Table chefs. Get your tickets for A Night Of Celebration, presented by The Painted Table Event Center and Team Neville Concerts now, before they sell out.
You’ll be treated to live music from today’s Kingston Trio members, Mike Marvin, Tim Gorelangton, and Don Marovich, who have direct links to the original group’s members. You’ll be treated to a menu that features your choice of entrée: delectable lemon caper chicken, braised pot roast, or Cauliflower steak, and you’ll be helping the Central Valley’s Honor Flight lift off the ground for their next trips.
Since 2013, The Central Valley Honor Flight has brought some 1,500 U.S. war veterans to visit their memorial in Washington, D.C. They are flown by charter aircraft and provided with lodging, meals, and transportation, with all expenses covered. The trip for each veteran costs $1,500, and the Central Valley Honor Flight is currently working towards funding upcoming trips. Your attendance at this special Night of Celebration will bring them closer to their goals.
Come out on Thursday, March 2nd, and reminisce to the sounds of the 57-year strong Kingston Trio while enjoying a delectable Painted Table dinner, all while supporting our local veterans with honor flights to Washington, DC.
